As an art therapist it is important to me to have this website contain imagery as well as words. Both can express and speak to our experiences of loss.
I love the way that an art piece can contain different layers of feelings or meaning. Each of us can look at it and interpret it in our own way.
As you can probably tell, I am especially drawn to color. Color is often able to eloquently express emotion. I have photographed graffiti, paint, and other sources of color from public spaces. Many of my images are abstract, which also tends to be my preference. I like the open ended nature of abstract imagery, which hopefully allows each viewer to connect and find meaning in their own way.
